Introducing dose inhaler with integrated counter / Keeping track of medication usage
RPC Formatec (Mellrichstadt / Germany; www.rpc-formatec.de) has introduced a new pressurised metered dose inhaler (PMDI) that counts down the number of doses taken from the device. Thanks to the integrated single dose counter – capable of counting up to 999 doses – users can keep track of their medication and easily know when their inhaler is nearing the end and needs replacing. The injection moulded counter can be set from anywhere between 0 to 999.

Made of POM, ABS and PS, the device can be retrofitted to all types of standard mouthpieces, the company said, adding that the system is FDA-approved and designed for all common types of valves.
