ROSTI
Polish subsidiary merges local plants / Site comprises ISO-quality injection moulding lines
Swedish injection moulding group Rosti (Malmö; www.rosti.com) combined the production processes of two factories in Białystok / Poland in the summer of 2017, creating one of the largest plastic injection moulding facilities in Europe.
Some 33 machines, 180 tools and 33 assembly lines in Elewatorska, which had also served as headquarters of Rosti Poland since 1999, were transferred to the Mysliwska site, acquired two years ago via Rosti's takeover of Bianor (Białystok; www.bianor.pl) – see Plasteurope.com of 10.07.2015.
A new 14,000 m² production hall was subsequently built in Mysliwska in anticipation of the merger. In January 2017, 450 staff and machinery were relocated from Elewatorska. The move was completed in July. The expanded site now has a total of 1,300 employees, a 30,000 m² facility and more than 150 injection moulding machines with clamping forces of 250-13,000 kN. A Rosti spokeswoman declined to provide details on the future of the Elewatorska site, which still houses about 20 injection moulding machines, a paint shop and a small warehouse.
