Rosti (Ballerup / Denmark; www.rosti.com) has entered into a partnership with antimicrobial additives producer Biomaster (Stafford / UK; www.biomasteradditives.co.uk). Thanks to the cooperation the injection moulder is now able to offer improved antimicrobial performance through the application of the Biomaster range of silver-based additives that can be applied across many polymer types and becomes an integral part of the product, preventing the growth of bacteria. Rosti said the additives will provide benefits in a wide range of markets and end applications where bacterial growth and cross contamination are a concern, including white goods interiors, kitchen appliances as well as medical and healthcare devices.
