Chinese plant due to open in 2007 at Suzhou / Park may become Asian headquarters

Groundwork has commenced on the third production plant in China for the technical plastics division of Rosti (Copenhagen / Denmark; www.rosti.com) – see Plasteurope.com Web of 19.01.2006. The 12,000 m² facility in the Suzhou Industrial Park, where the company has its other rented factories, will have an investment of USD 15m and is scheduled to startup in January 2007. The additional capacity is required to meet growing demand from international customers in the business machine, domestic appliance and automotive markets.
In March 2006, the Rosti group signed a contract to buy 40,000 m² of land in Suzhou as the first step in its growth plan for activities in Asia. The new facility is likely to become the technical plastics division´s regional headquarters.
