ROSTI
Latest acquisition gives Danish company leading position in UK moulding industry
The Danish company Rosti A/S (Brydehusvej 32, DK-2750 Ballerup) has firmly established itself as a growing force in the UK injection moulding industry following its acquisition of Peter Tilling Plastics Ltd (GEC Estate, East Lane, Wembley, GB-Middlesex HA9 7SZ). The two plants operated by Peter Tilling Plastics in London and Scotland will be combined with the Morning Plastics Ltd (29/33 Holmethorpe Avenue, Redhill, GB-Surrey RH1 2NQ) operations which were acquired earlier this year (see Plasteurope.com 8, 1996) to create a company with combined sales of GBP 65m. Rosti's strategy is to develop a strong position within the UK as a platform for further expansions internationally.
Peter Tilling Plastics had been a privately owned injection moulding company primarily serving the consumer electronics, communications and business machine sectors. The takeover, for an undisclosed sum, comes 25 years since the company was set up. Founder and Chairman of the company Peter Tilling will be retiring from daily operations, although he will take up a position on the board of Rosti (UK). The rest of the management team will remain, with Steve Tilling continuing as Group Managing Director.
Rosti A/S is part of the Danish industrial group A.P. Moller, and has extensive blow and injection moulding facilities in Denmark and Germany, as well as being engaged in EPS-foam products for packaging.
