ROSTI
Investment in new UK plant / Acquisition of Scottish moulder and toolmaker
Danish injection moulding group Rosti A/S (Brydehusvej 32, DK-2750 Ballerup) has announced plans for further expansion in the UK. A new plant is being set up at Business Parc Nantgarw, near Cardiff in South Wales. The facility will house machinery in a range from 200 t up to 1300 t and be used to manufacture components for business machines and domestic appliances supplying existing and new customers in the region. It should be operational in January 1998.
Rosti has also acquired the assets of the Scottish company KMT-Eurotool (Camberslang Investment Park, Clydeshill Road, GB-Glasgow G32 8RE), which recently went into receivership. It has taken over the leased facilities at the Camberslang site and it will provide additional capacity for its existing Scottish operation Peter Tilling Plastics (Scotland) Ltd (Baird Avenue, Strutherhill Industrial Estate, Larkhall, GB-Lanarkshire ML9 2PJ). The modern plant will initially house 17 injection moulding machines.
These moves are all part of an aggressive expansion strategy by Rosti to become a leading supplier of technical injection moulded products. In the space of less than two years, the company has established itself as one of the top five injection moulding groups in the UK market, in addition to its existing blow and injection moulding operations in Denmark and Germany.
