Austrian packaging manufacturer applies for insolvency

Robust Plastics (Vienna / Austria; www.robust-plastics.com) filed an application with the commercial court of Vienna on 11 September 2020 to initiate restructuring proceedings under self-administration. The company, which produces packaging by injection moulding and hollow-body extrusion and has its own toolmaking department, had suffered “severely reduced sales” during to the coronavirus crisis. 88 employees are affected at company headquarters in Vienna and the production site in Mattighofen, also in Austria, said creditor protection association KSV1870 (www.ksv.at).

According to the information provided, assets of around EUR 2.9m are offset by liabilities of EUR 16.8m. Creditors are being offered a repayment rate of 30% within two years.
