Three businesses integrated into one new healthcare division / 16 factories worldwide
Continuing its global restructuring programme, Rexam (London / UK; www.rexam.com) is integrating three of its consumer packaging businesses into one division. The new Rexam Healthcare business comprises Rexam Pharma, Primary Packaging and Prescription activities, consists of 16 factories and employs 3,370 workers in Europe, North America and Asia. The new division will be led by Marc Haemel, previously head of the Pharma business.
“Globalisation and increasing regulatory requirements in our industry are driving consolidation of suppliers,” said Haemel, explaining the reasons behind the change in company structure. “The larger scope of our business will enhance our skills and expertise in global project management, multi-site manufacturing, strong R&D capabilities and regulatory support. We will leverage synergies in quality, technology, operations and sales to strengthen partnerships with our customers.”
