New plastic packaging plant in Poland
Rexam (London / UK; www.rexam.com) has opened a 4,000 m2 injection moulding plant at Lodz / Poland to supply the home and personal care markets across Europe. The greenfield project was initiated by Precise Technology prior to its acquisition by Rexam in December 2005. The facility is equipped with 14 moulding machines that are supported by high speed robotics and assembly equipment, including ultrasonic welding and labelling. Rexam said the facility – its first plastics packaging plant in Poland – fits the company´s strategy to become a leading global player in consumer packaging.
