RESINEX
Solvay's polyamides for 3D printing added to portfolio
Polyamide powder from Solvay's (Brussels / Belgium; www.solvay.com) "Sinterline" range is now included in plastics and rubber distributor Resinex's (Arendonk / Belgium; www.resinex.com) product range. So far, this family of PA 6 materials for selective laser sintering (SLS) has comprised type "3400 HT 110" (unfilled) and type "6300 HT 110" (40% glass spheres). The company says both types can be used to produce parts capable of withstanding high thermal and mechanical loading, with characteristic values similar to those of conventional polyamide injection mouldings.

With high dimensional stability and good surface properties, Solvay sees potential for the materials in the automotive sector, in domestic appliances and sports equipment, as well as in the sanitary, transport, construction and electrical fields.
