New distributor for Styron grades earmarked for the electrical and lighting market
A new strategic partnership aimed at catering to the needs of Europe’s electrical and lighting (E&L) market has come into being between pan-European distributor Resinex (Arendonk / Belgium; www.resinex.com) and Dow spin-off Styron (Europe: Horgen / Switzerland; www.styron.com). For the electrical market, the new partnership’s portfolio includes Styron’s “Calibre” and “Emerge” PC grades, while the lighting market portfolio will feature “Calibre”, “Emerge” and “Tyril” SAN grades. In addition, the cooperation also offers commercial and technical support to customers.

In addition, the “Calibre” and “Emerge” portfolios can be sampled, produced and shipped with competitive lead times, at orders that are as low as 5 t. Commenting on the new partnership, Martin Whelan, product director Plastics at Styron, said: “We see this as a long-term commitment and will soon introduce additional products to reflect our commitment.”
