New pan-European distributor for ExxonMobil PP grades used in medical applications
On 1 July, Resinex (Arendonk / Belgium; www.resinex.net) became the official pan-European distributor of ExxonMobil Chemical (Baytown, Texas / USA; www.exxonmobilchemical.com) polypropylene (PP) grades for use in medical applications.
Under the terms of the agreement, Resinex is now distributing ExxonMobil “PP1013H1” and “PP1014H1” homopolymer grades, used in syringes, inhalators and pumps as well as packaging applications. Both grades can be sterilised using steam or ethylene oxide. Also part of the distribution portfolio is ExxonMobil’s “PP9074MED” random copolymer, used in diagnostic applications and syringes, among others. Aside from good flow properties and high clarity, the grade also can withstand high energy radiation, ExxonMobil says, adding that all three grades have been optimised for injection moulding.
