RESINEX
European distributor appointed for NatureWorks polymers
Resinex (Belgium / Arendonk; www.resinex.net) has been appointed European distributor of NatureWorks’ (Minnetonka, Minnesota / USA; www.natureworksllc.com) PLA biopolymers. The German distributor said it will demonstrate the biopolymers, branded “Ingeo”, at the Fakuma exhibition (www.fakuma-messe.de), which takes place in Friedrichshafen / Germany on 14-18 October.
NatureWorks claims that producing the Ingeo biopolymers, which are based on renewable sources, generates less than half the greenhouse gas emissions than those generated in the production of oil-based plastics. The products are used in a variety of applications, including fibre and nonwovens, films, extruded and thermoformed containers and extrusion and emulsion coatings.
Resinex will also be showcasing products from Dow Automotive and Wire & Cable at Fakuma. New product offerings include Dow’s “Magnum” SGL (super low gloss) grade ABS, which is used in automotive interiors.
