RESINEX
Name changed to “Resin Express” / New structure for Ravago European distribution
Distributor, compounder and service provider Resinex (L-2453 Luxembourg; www.resinex.net) has been renamed Resin Express, effective 1 October, reflecting the reorganisation of European distribution activities of parent company Ravago (HQ: B-2370 Arendonk; www.ravago.com). In future, all of Ravago´s European distribution companies will do business under the uniform name of Resin Express. Organisations in the Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be the first to use the new name, the others will follow.
Along with the name change, there have been some changes in portfolio. The German company, Resin Express Deutschland (D-64665 Alsbach), has taken over distribution of Dow´s PP grades from Kunststoffexpress Handel (D-33602 Bielefeld) as well as the “Scolefin” PP compounds of RP Compounds (D-06256 Schkopau; www.rpcompounds.com). Basell´s PP compounds, formerly distributed by Resinex, now will be handled by the new Ultrapolymers group (HQ: B-1702Dilbeek; www.ultrapolymers.com), in which Ravago is participating. GE Plastics has made Resin Express an official UK distributor alongside its own GE Polymerland. Meanwhile, DuPont Engineering Polymers has terminated its official distribution agreement with Resin Express in the UK. Observers believe the move could be related to the GE deal.
