The Resinex Group, a successful plastics distribution company active in a number of European countries, is now extending its activities into the German market. Resinex Deutschland GmbH (Erlenweg 5, D-64665 Alsbach-Hähnlein), subsidiary of Ravago Plastics NV (Moerenstraat 89, B-2370 Arendonk), is distribution agent for Dow Deutschland Inc responsible for PS, ABS, SAN, PC, PC/ABS and LLDPE sales as well as ABS, PC, PC/ABS and PS from the Italian company Mazzucchelli Polimeri srl. Resinex Deutschland supplies the Ravago range of PP, PS, LDPE, HDPE, PVC, ABS, SAN and PC. These materials are available as natural, non-branded standard resins, as industrial quality materials or regranulates and powders. A colouring service based on Dow know-how is also provided by Resinex Deutschland for "Magnum" ABS, "Calibre" PC, and "Pulse" PC/ABS.

As Resinex Managing Director Werner Velten explained to PIE: "We have started with five sales offices (Steinfürth near Münster, Alsbach near Darmstadt, Hamburg, Wiehl, and Schwäbisch Hall). Other sales offices will be opened soon. They are all staffed by experienced plastics experts, with many years of experience in the industry".

Holding company Ravago Plastics is one of the largest plastics recyclers and compounders in Europe, with a sales volume in excess of 250,000 t/y. The company has manufacturing sites in Benelux, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Greece. Major activities are the reworking of petrochemical wastes and recycling of industrial by-products to reusable granulate for a variety of applications, trading of non-branded standard products, the purchase and distribution of "out-of-specification" materials and the manufacture of tailor-made compounds to customer specifications.
