With the aid of the EADS foundation, the Ecole Centrale de Nantes (Nantes / France; www.ec-nantes.fr) has established a chair for research into composites. Chairholder is Prof. Francisco Chinesta.
The position is geared toward advancing educational goals as well as researching and simulating modern manufacturing processes for composite structures in aviation and cosmonautics. The chair is endowed with EUR 1m annually.
