Lubricant containers with 60% Reciclex sustainable polyolefins
Spanish energy and petrochemicals company Repsol (Madrid; www.repsol.com/en) said it has launched a new line of lubricant containers for engine and transmission oils for cars, motorcycles, and heavy industries that incorporate 60% mechanically recycled post-consumer plastics.

The 1-litre, 4-litre, and 5-litre lubricant containers are made with a mechanically recycled, ready-to-use, high-density polyethylene compound from Repsol’s Reciclex range of sustainable polyolefins.

The company said the new range of containers was redesigned to improve sustainability while maintaining properties, achieving a 25% carbon footprint reduction compared with its previous packaging. The containers come in five colours for the different product ranges.
