In the direct vicinity of its headquarters, Renolit (Worms / Germany; www.renolit.com) recently acquired an additional building, which will accommodate its Film Service and parts of the company's Technical Service Department with up to 30 employees. The complex previously belonged to a specialist for industrial coatings.
"With the acquisition of this building we will be able to respond more flexibly to the future growth of the company," said Renolit CEO Michael Kundel at the handing over of the complex. In Worms, the plastic films manufacturer employs more than 1,000 of its total global workforce of 4,700.
"The expansion also marks an important step for the further development of the Renolit Film Service. Here, our specialists repair, for example, damaged film-coated window profiles and provide training sessions for customers. Around 15 people will be working in the new building at the beginning, and the figure is expected to double in the medium term," said Stefan Friedrich, head of the Renolit Exterior business unit.
The Renolit Group manufactures film, sheet and other plastics products for the medical, building, automotive and office supplies segments. With more than 30 branches, the company generated sales of around EUR 1 bn in fiscal 2017.
