REHAU
Withdrawal from solar heat and centrifuge markets
Rehau (Rehau / Germany; www.rehau.com) has changed its renewable energy product strategy and plans to withdraw from the solar heat and centrifuge markets. Faced with new market realities, slower growth and immense price pressure, these particular markets had not developed according to original expectations, Rehau said.
The company did emphasise, however, that it will remain active in the renewable energy field, adding that in future it plans to focus its processing activities on developing innovative products like hydrogen tanks (part of its Automotive & Mobility business unit), equipment for wind farms (Industrial Solutions) as well as biomass and geothermal energy (Construction).
