Altstoff Recycling Austria lowers fees
Altstoff Recycling Austria (ARA, Vienna / Austria; www.ara.at), the licensing company under the country´s "green dot" post-consumer waste recycling scheme, lowered its fees for sorted plastics packaging on 1 January 2006. In some cases, the reductions are quite considerable. The rates for small plastic packs, for example, have been reduced by 12%. In 2005, mixed packaging material cost EUR 156/t, this year´s fee is EUR 141/t.
