RAVENSCROFT PLASTICS
Establishes two new companies / Basis of five-year growth and expansion programme
Two new companies have been established by family-owned, UK trade extrusion company Ravenscroft Plastics (GB-Tewkesbury GL20 8HD; www.ravenscroft.co.uk) as the basis of an expansion programme for the next five years. Both Cavalok Building Products and Beta Cable Management Systems will operate as independent businesses from their own premises, with Ravenscroft supplying all their extrusion requirements. “The establishment of the new companies makes great sense in that each can concentrate on the development of a high quality product portfolio for their appropriate sector,” said chairman Hedley Bonnes, whose father created Ravenscroft Plastics in 1958.
Cavalok Building Products is currently selling a cavity closure system based on extruded PVC profiles and moulded PP corners for installation in new-build, window apertures. Shortly coming to market is an external cladding system that will be produced under licence from US company Crane Plastics Corporation. Beta Cable Management Systems will be offering its Betaduct trunking and a range of other specialist cable management products for global markets. A sales agent has been appointed in the US.
Ravenscroft Plastics has a turnover in excess of GBP 9m (about EUR 13.4m) and employs 100 staff.
