Global producer of plastic compounds attains RecyClass certification

Plastics distributor and compounder Ravago (Arendonk, Belgium; www.ravago.com) has reportedly successfully concluded a voluntary audit scheme demonstrating a high degree of recyclability of plastic packaging and recycled content of plastics used in products.

Specifically, this means that the post-industrial and post-consumer plastics waste the company processes onsite is allegedly aligned with standards for traceability of recycled plastics (EN 15343:2007) and controlled blending chain of custody (ISO 22095:2020) — as recently stated by a company spokesperson.
“Our customers can therefore be sure that the recycled content of the plastic compounds we produce at the site is accurate due to the high standards of our recycling practices and the transparency of the feedstocks that we use,” the company said.

RecyClass (Brussels; www.recyclass.eu) certification schemes are owned by Plastics Recyclers Europe, managed by RecyClass, and issued by recognised third-party certification bodies.
Founded in 1961 by Raf Van Gorp, Ravago has over 60 years of recycling expertise.
