RAVAGO
Recycling partnership with solutions provider Avangard
Belgian compounder and distributor Ravago (Arendonk; www.ravago.com) has created a joint venture with US sustainable solutions and plastics recycling company Avangard Innovative (Houston, Texas; www.avaicg.com) to help plastics converters identify recyclable waste opportunities. The jv will use Avangard’s “Natura” programme to help customers maximise the quantity and quality of recyclables and reduce operational and waste haulage costs, the partners said. As a result, customers can increase their revenues streams.
Named Ravago Avangard Innovative, the jv will benefit from Ravago’s relationships in the plastics industry, as well as its manufacturing and processing capabilities, they said. Chris Lendo, former Avangard COO, will run the business from an existing site in Pasadena, Texas.
“The Natura programme provides a turn-key solution for a producer's plant scrap management, environmental containment, regulatory compliance and industrial service needs,” said Jim Ashton, president of Ravago’s Americas division Ravago Manufacturing Americas. The programme will be available to plastics companies around the world, he added.
