Rani Plast (Terjärv / Finland; www.raniplast.com) says it plans to install a new seven-layer blown film line at its domestic site in Bjölas in July. Commissioning is scheduled for autumn, and the capacity expansion is part of a EUR 10m investment package.

All of Rani Plast’s agricultural film production is located in Bjölas, and the new blown film line from Germany’s Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H, Lengerich; www.wuh-group.com) makes it possible to further develop the product range in different directions, Rani Plast MD Jari Palosaari said. “With thinner foils and therefore more foil metres per roll, farmers can save noticeable material when wrapping bales.”

Rani Plast has also upgraded its existing film systems and invested in automated pallet logistics. The company aims to become climate neutral by 2035.
