QUADRANT EPP
Colours added to biocompatible PPSU range
Stock shapes producer Quadrant Engineering Plastics Products (EPP, Zurich / Switzerland; www.quadrant.ch) has introduced additional standard colours to its range of “Radel” PPSU biocompatible “LSG” (life science grade) products. Standard colours available now include black, natural (off-white), blue, green, yellow, grey, brown, rust-coloured and red. Custom colours are available upon request. Quadrant Radel PPSU LSG stock shapes are available globally as rods and sheets in various sizes, allowing manufacturers to optimise yield and minimise waste.

Radel PPSU is a tough thermoplastic with a heat deflection temperature of around 205°C. Compared to other engineering plastics it offers superior resistance to common sterilisation techniques and is extremely resistant to repeated autoclaving sterilisation. Typical applications for the newly introduced colours include orthopaedic trial implants, instrument handles, ferrules for endoscopic instruments, radiation therapy and brachytherapy apparatus components, sterilisation trays, trays for trauma products, biotechnology and laboratory equipment, and analytical and diagnostic equipment components.
