Fair organiser and entrepreneur Paul E. Schall passes away

Paul Eberhard Schall, CEO of fair organiser P. E. Schall (Frickenhausen / Germany; www.schall-messen.de), passed away on 19 February 2016 at the age of 76. He would have turned 77 on 24 February. Schall was closely linked to Friedrichshafen / Germany as a fairground location, and his achievements in the German and European plastics industry include the establishment of the “Fakuma” plastics trade fair as one of the integral events and meeting points for Europe’s plastics industry.
The company also organises a range of other German trade fairs, including “Stanztec”, “Control”, “Blechexpo”, “Schweisstec”, “Bondexpo” and “Opatec” as well as “Druck+Form” and a number of other consumer exhibitions. The company Schall headed for more than 50 years is today considered to be the largest privately-owned organiser of technical trade fairs in Germany.
