PROMENS
Packaging division reorganised into industry segments / Geographical structure phased out
Injection and rotational moulding specialist Promens (Reykjavik / Iceland; www.promens.com) restructured its packaging division at the end of 2008. The former geographical structure has been replaced by three key packaging segments – chemical, food & beverage and personal & healthcare. The company said that the aim of the reorganisation is to strengthen the links between segment management and operational units. The only exceptions are the three facilities in Beccles, Deeside and Thetford in the UK headed by Bob Bedford, which will continue to operate outside the new structure “for the time being.”
Dragan Stjepanovic has been appointed vice president chemical packaging, comprising facilities in Ettlingen, Neumünster, Winsen, Witzenhausen and Görzke in Germany, Ghent / Belgium, L’Aigle and Blyes / France, Bjæverskov / Denmark, Kongsvinger / Norway, and Turku and Klaukkala / Finland.
Svein Egestad has become vice president of the food & beverage packaging segment which includes sites in Kristiansand, Kambo and Stjordal in Norway, Stilling and Kolding in Denmark and Lidköping / Sweden.
The personal & healthcare packaging segment comprises sites in Bellignat, Geovreisset and La-Roche-sur-Foron in France, Milan and Florence in Italy, Barcelona / Spain, Langeskov and Warsaw / Poland and Yekaterinburg / Russia. The vice president responsible for this segment is Pierre Sabatier.
