PROMENS
Moulder largely unaffected by Icelandic bank crash / New facility opened in the Slovak Republic
Moulding specialist Promens (Reykjavik / Iceland; www.promens.com) says it is feeling some effects from the current global financial crisis, but that its day-to-day business has not been significantly affected. However, it feels that some action may have to be taken to cut costs and raise efficiency, although it gave no details of its plans.
Promens issued a statement as a result of its owner, investment company Atorka (Reykjavik / Iceland; www.atorka.net), requesting suspension of its shares from trading on the OMX Nordic Exchange in Iceland as it believes that shares cannot be priced correctly under current economic conditions.
Promens recently opened a new plant in Nitra in the Slovak Republic. Production at this 5,400 m² facility will include components for vehicle interiors and engine covers.
