German window profiles manufacturer Profine (Troisdorf; www.profine-group.de) in June started up a new mixing plant at its site in Voskresensk / Russia, located about 50 km southeast of Moscow. The facility is the group’s second at the site, raising its mixing capacity to 26,000 t/y. The added output makes Voskresensk the group’s largest production site abroad.
Profine has been operating in Russia for about 20 years, operating under the KBE brand, and purports to be the market leader for PVC-U window profiles. Company owner and CEO Peter Mrosik said the new mixing plant “represents a further step into the future on the Russian market.”
Profine has been focusing its investment on high-growth markets, including India, where the group last year started up a new 3,000 t/y profiles plant in Vadodara – see Plasteurope.com of 06.06.2013.
