Marketing Talis valves and fittings in CIS / New plastic pipe plant in Kazakhstan
Meeting rising demand for valves, fittings and water cycle services in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), German water-flow specialist Talis (Rodgau; www.talis-group.com) in late July entered into a strategic cooperation with Polyplastic (Moscow / Russia; http://en.polyplastic.ru). Under the terms of the deal, financial details of which were not disclosed, Polyplastic will add Talis’ products to its portfolio and market the materials across the region.

The Russian group, which manufactures thermoplastic composites and PE pipes, recently commissioned three new extrusion plants in Stepnogorsk / Kazakhstan. The facilities have a production capacity of 30,000 t per year of the group’s “Arystan” corrugated pipes to meet rising Kazakh demand, local news sources report. Plant director Alexander Zubenko told media that the product is suitable as water, gas and sewage pipes.
