As planned, Polyplastics (Tokyo; www.polyplastics-global.com) has commissioned a new production facility for gear-wheel material POM in the Chinese city of Nantong, Jiangsu, in the vicinity of Shanghai. The plant, with a capacity of 90,000 t/y, replaces an older line of the same size at the site. This step marks the first phase of the investment. Within the next few years, Polyplastics plans to increase production to 150,000 t/y with a second line.
