David Hall retires in October / Martin Payne new CEO
Long-standing Polypipe (Doncaster / UK; www.polypipe.com) CEO David Hall retired on 2 October, as already announced in May 2017. He is succeeded by former CFO Martin Payne. Payne had been CFO at Polypipe since 2016, and previously served as group finance director at bathroom components supplier Norcros. The successor to Payne, on or before 2 April 2018, is Paul James, with Payne continuing to oversee the group's finance function until James joins.
Hall had led the company in Doncaster for twelve years (see Plasteurope.com of 22.09.2005), including its listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2014. In addition, he was president of the British Plastics Federation (BPF, London / UK; www.bpf.co.uk) for two years. Bruce Margetts, managing director at Bericap (www.bericap.com) based in Hull / UK, took over as president of the BPF at the end of May 2017.
