POLYMIRAE
Launch of PP random copolymer for hot and cold water pipes
PolyMirae (Seoul / South Korea; www.polymirae.com/eng), a joint venture between LyondellBasell (Rotterdam / The Netherlands; www.lyondellbasell.com) and Daelim (Seoul; www.daelim.co.kr), has launched a new PP random copolymer for use in hot and cold water pipe applications.
The product, “Hostalen” PP H5416K, is a natural nucleated grade that will help meet growing Asian demand for PP random copolymer resins, PolyMirae said.
“This development represents PolyMirae’s first entry into the rapidly growing pipe segment, and at the same time contributes to LyondellBasell’s global sourcing strategy,” said Michael Vogt, Asia Pacific market manager for LyondellBasell’s pipe, industrial sheet and pipe coating business. “It will enable us to offer Asian customers a high-quality PP random copolymer grade from a regional supply source.”
