Voting for the awards opened on 20 February and runs until 20 May, allowing polymer users across Europe to rate their suppliers confidentially and free of charge. The evaluation process considers key factors such as delivery reliability, polymer quality, communication, innovation, circularity, and a special emphasis on suppliers‘ commitment to the European market. The latter includes for the first time:
- Willingness to invest: Assessing financial and operational investments within Europe.
- Capacity modernisation: Evaluating upgrades and modernisation of European production facilities.
- Supply security: Rating the ability to maintain a stable polymer supply across Europe.
This year, the theme Commitment to the European Market places a strong emphasis on suppliers’ investment in Europe. Criteria include willingness to invest, capacity modernisation, and supply security. Participants can rate suppliers across 12 polymer categories, including polypropylene, polycarbonate, polystyrene & EPS, PET, PVC, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, ABS, EVA, EVOH, and speciality polymers.
Awards ceremony and anniversary celebration
The winners will be announced during the European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels; www.plasticsconverters.eu) annual meeting in Brussels on 12-13 June 2025. In addition to the annual awards, a special distinction will be given to the supplier demonstrating a decade of outstanding performance.
The Polymers for Europe Alliance, established in 2015 by the EuPC aims to promote transparency and constructive dialogue between polymer suppliers and users in Europe. “As we celebrate the 10th anniversary, the increasing number of voters (1,000) each year demonstrates the enduring success of the awards,” said Ron Marsh, chair of the Polymers for Europe Alliance.
