The Polymers for Europe Alliance (www.polymercomplyeurope.eu/pce-services/polymers-europe-allliance) has opened voting to assess polymer producers for the seventh edition of its Best Polymer Producers Awards, which invites European plastics processors to rate their suppliers’ performance. The wanting to participate can cast ballots until 15 April 2023, and the results are to be announced at the annual meeting of the European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels; www.plasticsconverters.eu) in Lyon, France, on 23 May 2023. Participation is confidential and free of charge.
This year’s awards seek to focus on delivery reliability, circularity, quality, communication, and innovation, and will feature commitment to the European market as a standalone criterion for the rating process, focusing on suppliers’ willingness to invest in Europe and their plans to increase and modernise capacity in the region. The most popular suppliers can be judged on the rating platform in 12 categories by the type of material – PP, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PET, PVC, PS & EPS, PC, ABS, EVA, EVOH, and speciality polymers.

Ron Marsh, chairman of the Polymers for Europe Alliance, said, “The Best Polymer Producers Awards were created in 2016 to re-establish a constructive dialogue and good communication between suppliers and users of polymers in Europe. We encourage plastics converters in Europe to participate and rate all their suppliers. The fact that we are now organising the seventh edition with a growing number of voters every year is a clear indicator of the awards’ success.”
The Best Polymer Producers Awards did not take place in 2020 due to the pandemic, and in 2021 due to the unexpected crisis of forces majeures in the industry.
