The Polymers for Europe Alliance (www.polymercomplyeurope.eu/pce-services/polymers-europe-allliance) has launched the fifth edition of its “Best Polymer Producers Awards” and invites European plastics processors to rate their suppliers’ performance in an online voting tool by 22 May 2020. Participation is strictly confidential and free of charge.
The most popular suppliers can be rated in 11 categories by polymer type – PC, PP, PS/EPS, ABS, EVA, HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE, PET, PVC and speciality polymers. The five criteria are delivery reliability, polymer quality, communication, innovation and circularity. The 2020 edition will also have an overarching award for circularity, covering all polymer types. Last year’s special award was for best customer communication, which was given to PVC manufacturer Vynova (Tessenderlo / Belgium; www.vynova-group.com) with an overall score of nearly 95% – see Plasteurope.com of 18.06.2019.
The Best Polymer Producers Awards were created in 2016 to re-establish communication between European polymer suppliers and users. “The fact that we are now organising the fifth edition with a growing number of voters every year is a clear indicator of the awards’ success,” said Ron Marsh, chairman of the Polymers for Europe Alliance.
The award ceremony will take place on 11 June 2020 in Brussels / Belgium at the annual meeting of the European Plastics Converters (EuPC, Brussels; www.plasticsconverters.eu).
