Polish compounder sets goal to grow business in Europe
Polimarky Smart Compounding (Rzeszow / Poland; www.polimarky.pl) wants to expand its business beyond its own borders and into the EU fringe countries, which it sees as a growth market for its business. Its compound range is used primarily for extrusion and injection moulding. The non-integrated, family-run company has two Polish production sites for modified thermoplastics in Rzeszow and Rogoznica. Its product focus can be classified in three areas: modified polyamides under the "Restramid" brand, modified polypropylene carrying the "Reslen" brand and retardant cable compounds or "Reslen Ref" products.
Its portfolio includes all grades and types such as PA 6, PA 6.6, POM, PS, SAN, ABS, PC, ABS/PC, PA/ABS, PP/PA, PA/PPA, PP compounds and EVAC/PE. Its customer base comes primarily from construction, automobile and E&E industries. Its other business focus is on the manufacture of pipes and fittings made from PP compounds.
With 100 employees, the company recorded revenues of approximately EUR 15m in 2012 with roughly 88% generated at home and the rest earned from various European countries, according to company information. Following an expansion at the turn of the year 2011/2012, the company's compounding capacity stood at about 30,000 t/y.
