Kuraray: EVOH production in Antwerp
The first and so far only production plant for EVOH in Europe has been opened at Antwerp by the Japanese world market leader Kuraray – Europe: Eval Europe NV (Nieuwe Weg 1, B-2070 Zwijndrecht). The plant has an annual capacity of 10,000 t. Ethylene-vinyl-alcohol copolymers (EVOH) are used as barrier layers, among other things in food packaging and plastic fuel tanks.
