Gumotex: Polyurethane supplier in difficulties
The leading Czech manufacturer of polyurethane foams for the automotive and furniture industries, Gumotex a.S. (Mladeznicka 3, CZ-69075 Breclav), will fall short of its sales goal for 1999. The lack of demand because of the furniture recession on the domestic market was not made up by the increase in exports, said a company spokesman. Business had, however, been good with Opel, VW and Grammer, for example, for the headrest in the “Beetle”.
