Hirsch Servo with new Hungarian EPS plant
Austrian EPS producer Hirsch Servo AG (A-9555 Glanegg 58; www.hirsch-gruppe.com) plans to build a new plant for engineered parts at Jászfenyszaru. This investment complements existing plants at Sárvác and Nyíregyháza (see Plasteurope.com 15, 2001). Like the Nyíregyháza unit, the new production facility, which will employ 20 and have an initial capacity of 1,000 t/y, will be located in an industrial park east of Budapest. A second expansion stage is planned to start up in 2002. Hirsch-Servo said the three Hungarian plants will increase its current EPS sales of EUR 24m by 30%.
