Shell plans new Dutch polymer polyols plant
Shell Nederland Chemie BV (NL-3000 CZ Rotterdam; www.shell.com.nl) plans to build a 50,000 t/y polymer polyols plant near Rotterdam. The new unit is scheduled to start up in the second quarter of 2003, producing highly-filled polymer polyols based on SAN. This lifts Shell Chemicals´ total capacity for flexible foam polyols to 400,000 t/y.
