Deceuninck acquires 75% of Detajoint
Leading PVC-U window systems and profiles manufacturer Deceuninck NV (B-8830 Hooglede-Gits; www.deceuninck.com) has acquired a 75% stake in TPE seals producer Detajoint (Dottignies / Belgium). The company with a staff of 15 manufactures seals for the building and automotive industries in seven tri-extrusion lines. Deceuninck said it expects Detajoint to double its sales from EUR 2.5m in 2002 to EUR 5m in 2003. The Belgian profiles giant said the acquisition is part of its strategy of keeping as many processes as possible in house. Deceuninck uses more than 30m metres of seals annually.
