HTP to cut jobs at Austrian site
Austrian automotive supplier High Tech Plastics (HTP, A-7201 Neudörfl; www.htp.at) plans to restructure its Fohnsdorf production site and, according to reports, will cut 60 of the 320 jobs there. The move is part of a restructuring scheme for the site, which has been operating at a loss for the past two years. Goal of the scheme – due to be completed in 2005 – is to reduce the site´s dependence on the automotive sector from 95% currently to 70% and to procure more aerospace projects.
