JSP plans EPP plant in Czech Republic
Japanese expandable plastics manufacturer JSP (Tokyo; www.jsp.com) plans to build a new 14,000 t/y plant for expanded polypropylene particle foam (EPP) at Cheb in the Czech Republic, to help meet “rising demand” for the foam in Europe. The facility is due on stream in Q 1 2006, complementing a 12,000 t/y plant on stream at Estrees-St.- Denis / France since 1997. This will give the Japanese group two strategic EPP production sites in Europe.
