S.A. Plastiques du Val de Loire (Plastivaloire, ZI Nord les Vallees, F-37130 Langesis) is one of the biggest injection moulding companies in France that does not belong to a group. Plastivaloire produces engineering components and complete assemblies for consumer electronics, telecommunications and the computer industry. The company additionally supplies the automotive industry and produces electronic components. The refining processes it offers include ultrasonic and vibration welding and also printing and embossing. Electrostatic painting is a further focal point. More than 360 injection moulding machines are available for production, offering clamping forces of between 20 and 1800 t. Each year, 17,600 t of thermoplastics are processed, including PS, PP, ABS, PA, PC, POM and PPO. A "Multi-technology Centre" has recently been set up with the aim of working out new solutions to production engineering and design optimisation in the manufacture of engineering components.

Plastivaloire, which was set up in 1963, currently has eight plants in France and a branch in Poland. In 1997, the company acquired majority holdings in two French injection moulding firms (see Plasteurope.com 12, 1997). Turnover in the 1996/97 financial year (30.09.) rose to FRF 662.7m (586.2m), equivalent to DEM 197m. The company is also set for further expansion. Apart from Eastern Europe, greater commitment in China and also South America is planned for the future.
