PLASTIC OMNIUM
EUR 7.5m deal to supply waste containers to Budapest
France’s Plastic Omnium (PO, Levallois; www.plasticomnium.com) in late November 2012 was awarded a contract to supply household waste containers to the city of Budapest / Hungary. Under the terms of the arrangement, worth EUR 7.5m, PO will install some 400,000 containers in the capital city during the course of 2013.
The company said the contract is the latest in a series of similar international agreements, including one forged in early 2012 to supply 300,000 waste containers in Malaysia. The Budapest deal “strengthens Plastics Omnium’s position as the world leader in household waste containers and related services for municipal authorities,” the company said.
