PLASTIC FANTASTIC
Heard of the Cone of Silence? Here comes the Cone of Sustenance
The coronavirus has taken a lot away from our lives, including one of the most enjoyable everyday experiences – dining out. A French designer, however, has found just the solution for mankind to be able to enjoy meals and drinks in the company of others – a plastic bubble!

Unlike the bubbles we’ve been living in since Covid-19 wreaked havoc, these transparent “bubbles” – made of recycled and recyclable PETG, and easily suspendible from a ceiling, like chandeliers – allows one to share a meal at a restaurant or even get a drink at the bar. “It’s an elegantly curved Plexiglas cupola that offers the user total freedom of movement”, is how the French company designing the product touts the solution.

Though it might be a while before restaurants and bars return to normal, and even longer a while before this product becomes commonly available, just the thought of spending an evening at a bar is exciting at the moment, isn’t it?
