Olympia: Where the shoe always fits
Once it was laurel wreaths, today it is medals. Apart from the souvenirs they bought themselves, those Olympians who return home with an award will also get a new pair of sneakers. And they are not the kind meant for walking in someone else’s shoes. On the contrary, sports giant Adidas is giving each Olympian their very own, customised, 3D printed “Futurecraft” footwear.

Fit for a home run, and for walking that extra mile, the lucky few who get to wear the new series could just be walking all over the competition at the next games – provided they don’t have an Achilles heel, of course…
