PLASTIC FANTASTIC
A small-town wedding: A ball and a bottle chain
In any small town with barely 7,000 inhabitants, a wedding is always in everyone’s mouths, and a welcome occasion to crack open a bottle and raise the roof. That is, quite literally, what the friends of a couple did while the two were exchanging their vows. When the bride and groom arrived back at their house, they found it covered in empty plastic bottles – neatly strung along rope that was hanging from the roof and nearby trees. 9,088 bottles in total.

With the honeymoon now over, the newlyweds have started their own game of 9,000 (empty) bottles of beer on the roof, 9,000 bottles of beer – take one down, get the deposit, one bottle less and some change in the pocket.
