As the advertisement slogan goes, the reason for the recent callback is truly “Out of this world”. Although the makers of the popular "Mars" chocolate bar would like people to believe that its consumption is “pleasure you can’t measure”, the company is currently in the crosshairs for something found inside one of the popular snacks. Whereas the occasional hair is known to grace the plates of restaurant goers, this particular Mars bar contained a plastic piece. Not exactly the kind of crunch you are looking for to help you “work, rest and play.”
Millions of "Milky Ways", "Snickers" and Mars bars are now travelling back to The Netherlands, where Willy Wonka will need to have a serious look at what went wrong at the assembly plant.
